Morris Scherr, D.D.S.

MorrisScherr_new0906.jpgDr. Morris Scherr attended Brooklyn College for his undergraduate studies and earned his Doctorate of Dental Surgery from the Columbia University School of Dental and Oral Surgery. He also completed specialty training and earned his Certificate in Orthodontics from the Columbia University School of Dental and Oral Surgery.

He served in the United States Air Force Dental Corp, where he gained additional dental and orthodontic experience. He currently is an attending orthodontist at Long Island Jewish Medical Center.

Roger E. Sheehy, D.M.D.

RogerESheehy_new0906.jpgDr. Roger Sheehy earned his Bachelor’s degree at Fordham University and his Doctorate of Dental Medicine from the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine. He completed specialty training at Fairleigh Dickinson University School of Dental Medicine, and gained additional experience as a Captain in the United States Army Dental Corps.

Steven S. Schwartz, D.D.S., M.M.Sc.

StevenSSchwartz_new0906.jpgDr. Steven Schwartz graduated Manga Cum Laude with a Bachelor’s degree from SUNY Buffalo. While there, he was inducted into Phi Beta Kappa. He earned his Doctorate of Dental Surgery from SUNY at Stony Brook School of Dental Medicine and completed his dental residency at Beth Israel Medical Center in New York.

Dr. Schwartz went on to earn a Master’s in Medical Science and his Certificate in Orthodontics from Harvard University. He is a lecturer and clinical instructor, and serves as Assistant Clinical Professor in the Department of Orthodontics and Pediatric Dentistry at SUNY at Stony Brook University School of Dental Medicine.

Erin J. Diamantakis, D.D.S.

Dr-Diamantakis.jpgDr. Erin Diamantakis was born and raised in Shoreham, on eastern Long Island. She completed her undergraduate degree in Spanish on full scholarship at SUNY Stony Brook. Dr. Erin received her doctorate degree from Creighton University in Omaha, Nebraska; then returned to New York and completed a one-year general-practice residency at North Shore University Hospital in Manhasset. After that, she worked as a general dentist and an orthodontic assistant for one year and then completed her orthodontic residency at St. Barnabas Hospital in the Bronx.

In July of 2016, Dr. Erin married Dr. Manny Diamantakis. They were introduced as dental co-residents at North Shore University Hospital’s general-practice residency in 2012. As someone who has pursued a similar path, he understands the years of hard work that go into her profession and has been extremely supportive. In her free time, Dr. Erin enjoys boating, traveling, trying new restaurants, and visiting local animal shelters. She grew up always having a dog and is looking forward to getting another one in the near future.
